Department of B.B.A. Computer Application

The Department of BBA-CA commenced from the academic year 2007-2008 with the objective of providing the latest quality education in the field of computer application. The mission of the department is to offer a high-quality education in the computer applications, as well as to prepare students for career opportunities in this area requiring a high level of technical knowledge and skill. Department of BBA-CA has highly qualified and brilliant faculty members with research base. The Department has maintained a well-equipped computer lab with latest computer software. Students graduated from this Department are placed in reputed IT Industries, Educational Industries in India and abroad. Most of the students have opted for higher studies also. The Department ensures that program objectives are constantly met and learning outcomes are monitored through periodical tests and assignments.

Goals

  • To facilitate students to meet the expanding job opportunities
  • To identify and sharpen students IT/ programming skills and prepare them to provide professional solutions to real time problems.

  • Prepare the students with excellent skills of problem solving, communication and leadership skills.

Objectives

  • To offer computer related knowledge to students and enable them to best use of their knowledge and skills in competitive environment.
  • To provide technical knowledge of computer and enhance computer related skills of students.
  • To empower student’s employment related skills and knowledge.
  • To develop skilled manpower in the various areas of information technology like: Data base management, Software Development, Computer-Languages, Software engineering, Web based applications etc.
  • Demonstrate the ability to adapt to technological changes and innovations in the discipline.

  • The students FYBBA (CA) of Poona College of Arts, Science and Commerce has Participated in intercollegiate Cricket competition “UMANG 2K17” at Moze College Balewadi and Won 2nd Prize (Trophy & Cash Award)
