The library rules are meant to facilitate the library operations with efficacy, promptness and transparency. It helps in limiting the members within their areas of access, privileges and rights ensuring effectively utilization of library resources along with proper law and order maintained.
- Student’s Entry in the library is subject to possession of a valid Identity (ID) card without which none of them will be permitted to enter the library. Entry in the library is denied to External/ATKT/outside students unless they are allowed in exceptional circumstances by follow the due procedure.
- Students are advised to strictly maintain silence and observe library decorum.
- Before entering the library, students have to sign-in the attendance register kept at the library entrance. It will also be treated as a token of adherence to the rules of the library.
- Playing games, listening to music, watching movies on a smartphone, laptop or any other device is not permissible and liable to a penalty of up to Rs. 500/-. Use of Smartphone and Laptop may be permitted strictly for educational purposes only.
- Consumption of edible food, tea, snacks, beverages etc. are strictly prohibited. In addition to this, napping, smoking, spitting, group discussions and other unethical practices are also strictly prohibited in the library.
- The library is not responsible for the loss of any personal belongings like bags, purse and other valuable items.
- No Bags are allowed to be carried in the stack room.
- Journal, magazine, newspaper, encyclopedia, dictionary, and other books reserved for reading room purpose should not be taken outside the library. It can be read and referred in the reading room after submitting the ID card and extra deposits, if any.
- Library membership card will be issued to only those students who are on the college roll by confirmation from admission authorities. Students have to submit one small size photograph and original admission receipt for a membership card.
- There is a separate circulation counter for staff and students. The circulation counter timings are from 09.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m. and 02.00 p.m. to 04.00 p.m. on Monday through Friday and only on Saturdays, 09.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. Intimation regarding Library Dues, Check-out and Check-in, of staff and students, will be communicated through auto-generated email. The home lending period is as follows;

- If the issued books are not returned on or before the due date, an overdue charges @ one rupee per book per day (excess after due date) will be charged.
- In case of any book being lost, mutilated, or scribbled, then as a penalty, the book will have to be replaced or the cost of the book or binding charges will be recovered. If a book is one of the volumes of a set in such situation the member must replace the whole set of volumes. The same may be relieved if the same is not in demand or reserved by other members.
- The Librarian has absolute autonomy and possesses discretionary powers to refuse admission or expel any person if he/she considers a person is intoxicated, unsound mind, creates law and order situation and misbehaves with any of the officials of the library.
